I like being called "sweetie"

I just have to say this because I know how controversial it has become but I actually like being addressed as hon or sweetie by an endearing stranger. I don't find it sexist or disrespectful in any way. I find it sweet and warm and my gut reaction to a "thanks hon" or have a good day sweetie, said by a store clerk etc. is to smile and have a little bounce in my step. The controversy that has erupted over this is very hard for me. I am an equalist for sure...well I'm old fashioned in that I like to make dinner for my hubby and stuff like that but in the big picture I believe in equality among the sexes. I have such a hard time with the fact that a mostly innocent gesture has become an enraging insult to many. I don't really get into the don't promote pink and pretty for girls and don't address women as honey. I'm just into make others feel good, let people like what they like and don't take everything so seriously.. OK HONEY?

Just a little side note here sweetie. That Marry Me heart.. it works. The one on the top of my ring box happens to be purple but yep it worked :)
